Hello Linda Vista! I came to San Diego from San Clemente after Joining the Navy in 1997. After 5 years in the Navy, I pursued a degree in biology, attending Southwestern and Mesa Community colleges before transferring to UCSD, where I graduated in 2008. My occupation is a Senior Associate Scientist at Janssen Pharmaceuticals R&D in La Jolla, where I have worked since 2011. I have lived in my beautiful Linda Vista home for 11 years, and I don’t plan on moving because I love my neighborhood, my neighbors, the ocean breeze and the hilltop views overlooking Tecolote Canyon. I’m for safe, clean, bikeable streets and I’m against densification and affordable housing projects. I’d like to see more police, stronger enforcement of traffic laws, and effective code enforcement in our neighborhood and the city in general.

My name is Daniela Ruiz and I am a San Diego native. I’ve worked in Linda Vista at Empower Language Academy for over four years now and love the growth this institution has brought me. I am a UCSD graduate (go tritons!) where I received a Bachelor’s in Sociology and Master’s in Education. I love spending my free time watching anime with my partner and cat Zoro and visiting my family in Rosarito. My goal as a board member in the Linda Vista Town Council is to continue bringing together the community to address problems and solutions in Linda Vista. I hope to see you all at our monthly meetings!

Victor Tocco

While serving in the Navy, I moved to Linda Vista in 2018 with my wife and two dogs.  Since then, I have left the active service and have added two sons to our growing family.  It was my concern for the safety of my family (we live on a street that cars often speed on) that led me to join LVTC.  As president, I look forward to helping make Linda Vista a safer community for all of our residents.
